About

Amy Kramer is a retired U.S. Navy Nurse Corps officer, board-certified Clinical Nurse Specialist, military spouse, and host of HERo Stories, a podcast dedicated to sharing the stories of women veterans and military spouses.

Amy's military career began in naval intelligence and aviation before she transitioned into nursing, serving in clinical and leadership roles across military and civilian healthcare. Her experiences include deployments in support of military operations, developing a palliative care program at Walter Reed, and leading clinical initiatives focused on improving patient care and healthcare delivery.

After more than two decades of service, Amy experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating new identities, career transitions, and family life beyond the military. As both a veteran and the spouse of an active-duty service member, she understands the opportunities and sacrifices that come with military life, particularly for women balancing their own ambitions with the demands of service and family.

These experiences inspired HERo Stories, a podcast that creates space for women veterans and military spouses to share their journeys in their own words. Through candid conversations with women from different backgrounds, Amy explores leadership, personal growth, career reinvention, resilience, and the experiences that shape who we become.

Amy also holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership from Hult International Business School in London. Her interests extend to women's health and wellness, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and creating opportunities for women to connect and support one another.

Currently based in London with her family, Amy continues to explore ways to bring people together through storytelling, meaningful conversations, and community engagement. Through HERo Stories, she hopes to help women feel seen and heard while encouraging others to recognize the value of their own experiences.
