About
Lydiah Owiti is a Kenyan-born lawyer, U.S. military spouse, speaker, and Founder & CEO of the Foreign-Born Military Spouse Network (FMSN). Her work focuses on the intersection of military life and immigration, with a particular emphasis on supporting globally connected service members, veterans, spouses, and their families.
Having navigated immigration, cultural transitions, and the realities of starting over in a new country as a military spouse, Lydiah brings both professional insight and lived experience to her work. Through FMSN, she addresses barriers to belonging, legal navigation, education, career development, and self-sufficiency.
With academic backgrounds in law, international development management, and project management, she speaks on military and immigration issues, global military families, belonging, identity, resilience, and life transitions.
Lydiah is available for speaking engagements, panels, media interviews, podcasts, workshops, and organizational collaborations. Her guiding belief is that military service and family sacrifice transcend borders, and every military-connected family deserves the opportunity to thrive and belong.
