About

Scott DeLuzio is an Army National Guard combat veteran, Gold Star brother, author, and host of Drive On Podcast, a show dedicated to helping service members, veterans, and military families overcome challenges, find meaningful connections, and thrive beyond military service.

Scott served as an infantryman in the Connecticut Army National Guard and deployed to Afghanistan in 2010. That same year, his younger brother, SGT Steven DeLuzio, was killed in action. His experiences with combat, military service, and the loss of his brother gave him a personal understanding of the challenges veterans and their families can face, both during and after military service. He later shared his family's story of service, sacrifice, and grief in his book, Surviving Son.

Driven by a desire to make a difference in the veteran community, Scott created Drive On Podcast as a platform for conversations about the issues affecting those who have served. Through interviews with fellow veterans, mental health professionals, veteran service organizations, entrepreneurs, and advocates, the podcast explores topics including PTSD, mental health, military-to-civilian transition, relationships, personal growth, and finding a renewed sense of purpose.

With more than 600 episodes produced, Drive On Podcast has become a platform for sharing veteran experiences, highlighting available resources, and giving a voice to individuals and organizations making a positive impact in the military community.

Beyond the podcast, Scott serves as a fellow with the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation, supporting its mission to honor those who served during the Global War on Terrorism and preserve their stories for future generations.

Whether behind the microphone, connecting with fellow veterans, or supporting initiatives that benefit military families, Scott remains focused on a simple mission: helping veterans realize they are not alone in their struggles, connecting them with resources that can make a difference, and doing his part to reduce veteran suicide.
