Before You Begin
The Index doesn’t use scraped contact lists or cold outreach. Every inquiry goes to the MIC Index team, who review it and forward it according to what each creator has chosen. Two paths are available now:
- Inquiry to one creator. You know who you want. Use the Work With button on their profile.
- Brief to your shortlist. You’ve saved several people and want to reach them with one message.
Have your goal, timing, and a budget range ready. The form asks for the basics, and Write a useful creator brief covers the rest.
Option A: One Creator
- Open the creator's profile and select Work With [name]. The button appears on claimed profiles whose owner has allowed inquiries.
- Fill in your name, work email, organization, the kind of collaboration and a description of the opportunity. A link to your site or the event is optional.
- Open the optional section to add budget range, timing, deliverables, usage and exclusivity. The more you share, the faster a creator can say yes or no.
- Complete the bot check and select Send inquiry.
Option B: Your Shortlist
- Save creators as you browse, then open Shortlist.
- Check Include in brief on each person you want to reach. Use Select all if you want everyone.
- Fill in the form under Send one opportunity brief, using the same fields as a single inquiry, and select Send brief.
If any selected creator hasn’t claimed their profile, the page tells you. The team will try to reach them, but it may take longer, and they may not be able to.
What Happens After You Send
- The MIC Index team reads the inquiry.
- It’s forwarded to each creator, or their manager, according to the contact preferences the creator set. Creators who haven’t allowed inquiries aren’t contacted.
- The creator replies to you directly if they’re interested.
- Creators' private contact details are never shared with you, and your inquiry is never shown publicly.
- Rates, terms and contracts are agreed between you and the creator. The Index doesn’t take a cut.
- Every creator replies on their own schedule, so the team can’t promise a response time.
Planned Services
Managed sourcing, where the team hand-picks and confirms a shortlist for a brief, and end-to-end campaign management are planned services that follow the public launch in early 2027. They aren’t available during the beta. Register interest and the team will contact you when they open.
What Success Looks Like
You see a confirmation page after sending, and the creators who are interested reply to you directly by email. The team may write first if something in the brief needs clarifying.
Common Problems
- There’s no Work With button. The profile is unclaimed, or the creator hasn’t allowed inquiries. Save them to your shortlist and include them in a brief; the team will try to reach them.
- The form won’t send. Make sure you’ve finished the bot check and every required field, and that you’re using a work email.
- No reply after a while. Replies depend on the creator. Ask the team and they’ll check.
Questions People Ask
How do I hire a military creator through the Index?
Find the creator in Discover, select Work With on their profile and send an inquiry, or save several creators and send one brief from your shortlist. The team forwards it according to each creator’s preferences and the creator replies to you directly. Rates and terms are agreed between you and the creator.
Will I get the creator’s email or phone number?
No. Private contact details are never shared. Inquiries go to the team, who forward them. If a creator chose to show a public email or a contact page, it appears on their profile.
Is there a guaranteed response time?
No. Replies depend on the creator. The team can check on an inquiry if you ask.
Does the Index take a fee?
No. Rates, terms and contracts are agreed directly between you and the creator.
What about managed sourcing?
Managed sourcing and end-to-end campaigns are planned services that follow the public launch in early 2027. Register interest on the For Brands page and the team will contact you when they open.
